nashville at 33. the only mild air is south florida, south texas and the desert southwest. phoenix only in the 50s. a weak system is what we're seeing across the country. one in the northwest and the other one that will affect us with just some clouds more than anything. this is coming through areas in the midwest this morning. a few rain and snow showers here but the bark worst than the bite as just some clouds. the air is dry, chilly. the clouds will be here mixing with the clear skies as we head into tonight and during the day on thursday. so when lieu at the futurecast -- you look at the futurecast, we see very little significant weather heading our way. by noon still sunny and quiet. by 6:00 clear and cold. temps in the 40s dropping to the 20s and 30s. the system is going to pass to our south with a little more in the way of showers across the carolinas thursday morning. that will throw a few clouds up our way tonight and during the day on thursday. we'll stay dry around here. traveling down to maybe raleigh or rocky mount, going to have to dodge a couple of raindrops.

this cold front is pushing all the way down through the deep south with showers and storms now from nashville to tuscaloosa. eventually birmingham and montgomery. so the forecast also is going to include falling temperatures. we're very warm on the eastern half of the country, east of the mississippi. but look at the midwest. we are cold in minneapolis, denver, billings, kansas city, st. louis and even dallas and chicago are chilly this morning. that cold air is going to plunge to the east as we go throughout the day. so your monday forecast, one more nice, beautiful day from boston down to d.c. falling temperatures in the middle of the country. the northwest is also stormy. as far as the cleanup from that nor'easter and of course our historical superstorm sandy, it looks like it's going to be pretty nice much of this week. temperatures not too cold, not too chilly for this time of year. so that will continue. there's no storms on the way for the battered east coast. a little bit of low fog there over lower manhattan. you're watching "morning joe" on this monday. we're brewed by starbucks. â™
